Find clear answers about booking a car with Trivo, driver requirements, payment methods, protection packages, security deposits, Queen Alia and Aqaba Airport service, roadside assistance, cancellations, and driving in Jordan.
The official minimum rental duration is one day. Availability may depend on the vehicle category, season, pickup location and selected dates. Each rental day is calculated as a 24-hour period from the confirmed pickup time.
The minimum age is generally 21. A minimum age of 23 may apply to large SUVs, premium vehicles and selected categories. A young-driver charge or vehicle restriction may apply and will be shown or confirmed before pickup.
The driver must normally have held a valid licence for at least one year. The licence must remain valid throughout the rental period and must be presented as the original physical document.
Bring your original valid driver’s licence, passport or Jordanian ID, booking confirmation and an approved payment method. Additional drivers must also present their original documents and meet the same driver requirements.
An International Driving Permit or official translation may be required when the original licence is not in Arabic or English, does not use readable Latin characters, or is not otherwise accepted in Jordan. An IDP does not replace the original driver’s licence; carry both documents.
Only drivers listed and authorised on the Rental Agreement may drive the vehicle. An additional driver must meet the age and licence requirements, present the required documents, and be added before driving. Any applicable charge will be confirmed during booking or pickup.
The main renter named on the booking must meet Trivo’s requirements and normally be present for the handover. If another person will drive, they must be registered as an authorised driver before using the vehicle.
Bookings are confirmed by vehicle category, not by a guaranteed make, model, colour or registration year. Trivo will try to provide the displayed model. If it is unavailable, an equivalent or higher category will be provided without a category-upgrade charge, subject to availability.
The booking confirmation shows exactly what is included. The standard rate normally includes the selected vehicle category, legally required Third-Party Liability Insurance, Basic Collision Damage Waiver and applicable mandatory charges. Mileage, delivery, protection upgrades and extras apply as stated in the booking.
No undisclosed fees should be added at pickup. Optional extras, location charges, after-hours service, protection upgrades and other applicable amounts must be displayed during booking or confirmed before the service is provided. Charges may still apply after the rental for fuel, damage, fines, cleaning, missing items or another amount due under the Rental Agreement.
Trivo accepts cash, Visa credit cards, eligible Visa debit cards and Apple Pay where available. Acceptance may depend on the vehicle, protection package and pickup conditions. A payment card may need to be valid, have sufficient available funds and be in the main renter’s name. Prepaid, virtual or third-party cards require written approval.
Eligible Visa debit cards may be accepted for selected rentals and vehicle categories. Deposit and verification requirements still apply. Confirm eligibility during booking, especially for premium vehicles or higher-value categories.
The rental payment is the cost of the booking. The excess is the maximum amount the renter may owe for each covered incident when the selected protection remains valid. The security deposit is a temporary hold or security amount used for possible charges such as damage, fuel, fines, cleaning, missing items or other contractual amounts.
Basic Protection requires a USD 700 security deposit. Gold Protection requires a USD 300 security deposit. Platinum Protection requires no security deposit. The selected package and final deposit are shown in the booking confirmation and Rental Agreement.
Trivo initiates the release after the vehicle is returned, inspected and known charges are cleared. The customer’s bank or card provider controls when the released amount becomes available. Later traffic fines or documented post-rental charges may still be collected under the Rental Agreement.
Unlimited mileage is included only when it is stated in the booking confirmation. Some vehicle categories, promotional offers or long-term rentals may have a mileage allowance. Any limit and excess-kilometre rate must be shown before confirmation.
Basic Protection includes the legally required Third-Party Liability Insurance and Basic Collision Damage Waiver. It has an excess of up to USD 700 per covered incident and requires a USD 700 security deposit. It does not include theft, tyres, windshield, interior or Personal Accident Protection.
Gold Protection reduces the excess to JOD 200 per covered incident, approximately USD 300, and requires a USD 300 security deposit. It also includes Theft Protection, Tyre and Windshield Protection, and 24/7 standard roadside assistance, subject to the policy exclusions.
Platinum Protection provides Zero Excess for covered incidents and requires no security deposit. It includes broader collision and loss protection, theft, tyre and windshield protection, eligible interior and personal accident benefits, and 24/7 VIP roadside coordination. Exclusions and accident-report requirements still apply.
No. Zero Excess applies only to covered incidents. The renter remains responsible for excluded events such as unauthorised drivers, prohibited use, off-road driving, wrong fuel, negligence, border crossing, fines, missing keys, unauthorised repairs and incidents without the required police report.
You may rely on eligible credit-card coverage, but the agreement remains between you and Trivo. You are responsible for amounts due to Trivo under the Rental Agreement and must claim reimbursement directly from your card provider. Confirm the provider’s conditions, exclusions and required documents before declining a Trivo protection upgrade.
Trivo provides meet-and-greet service at Queen Alia International Airport. After passport control, baggage collection and customs, go to the public Arrivals Hall and follow the meeting instructions in your voucher, normally near Starbucks. Keep your phone available on WhatsApp and present the required documents at handover.
Trivo provides meet-and-greet service at Aqaba Airport (AQJ) for confirmed bookings. Provide your flight number in advance so Trivo can monitor your arrival, and follow the meeting instructions in your booking voucher after clearing arrivals. Keep your phone available on WhatsApp in case the team needs to reach you.
Provide the correct flight number before travel so Trivo can monitor the verified flight. A verified flight delay will not be treated as a no-show when the customer remains reachable and communicates any change. Contact Trivo immediately if the flight number, arrival date or terminal changes.
Yes. Hotel, residence, office and on-demand delivery are available in selected Amman areas, subject to availability. Delivery to Aqaba, Petra, the Dead Sea, Wadi Rum, Madaba, King Hussein Bridge and other locations may be available for a quoted fee shown or confirmed before booking.
One-way rentals may be available between locations such as Queen Alia International Airport, Amman city and Aqaba, subject to vehicle availability. A one-way fee normally applies and will be shown or confirmed before booking. Contact Trivo in advance to confirm availability and pricing for your route.
Pickup or return outside the standard service hours of 09:00–19:00 may be available by prior confirmation. An after-hours charge may apply and must be shown during booking or confirmed before the service.
Check the vehicle before driving, photograph or record any existing damage, and make sure it is documented on the condition report or Rental Agreement. Notify Trivo immediately if you notice anything that was not recorded.
Yes. All customers can contact Trivo for 24/7 roadside support and emergency coordination. Platinum includes VIP priority coordination. Customer-caused events such as lost keys, wrong fuel, running out of fuel, tyre damage, avoidable battery discharge or prohibited use may still be chargeable.
Stop in a safe place, switch on the hazard lights and contact Trivo immediately. Do not continue driving if a warning light indicates a serious fault, and do not arrange repairs or towing without Trivo approval. For a mechanical fault not caused by the renter, Trivo will arrange assistance, repair or a replacement vehicle as soon as reasonably possible, subject to availability.
Contact Trivo before the original return time. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability, the current rental rate, payment approval and an updated Rental Agreement. Keeping the vehicle without approval may result in late charges and invalidate the agreed rental conditions.
Return the vehicle with the same fuel level recorded at pickup unless a prepaid-fuel option was agreed. Missing fuel and applicable refuelling charges may be collected after return. Always use the fuel type shown on the fuel cap, key tag or vehicle instructions; wrong-fuel damage is not covered.
Yes. Trivo vehicles may be driven on permitted public roads within Jordan, including routes to Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba, the Dead Sea, Jerash and Madaba. Off-road driving, sand dunes, beaches, flooded roads and prohibited tracks are not allowed.
No. Trivo vehicles may not leave Jordan or cross an international border under any circumstances. Attempting to cross a border is a serious breach of the Rental Agreement and may invalidate all protection.
Child seats, booster seats, GPS devices and portable Wi-Fi may be available as optional extras. Reserve them in advance because availability is limited. The price and specifications will be shown during booking or confirmed before pickup.
Many Trivo vehicles include Bluetooth, USB or another connection option, but equipment varies by vehicle category and model. A specific connectivity feature is not guaranteed unless it is confirmed in the booking.
The renter is responsible for all traffic, parking, toll and similar violations during the rental, including fines reported after the vehicle is returned. Trivo may collect the fine and any applicable documented administrative charge using the registered payment method.
Stop safely, switch on the hazard lights and call 911 if anyone is injured or the road is unsafe. Contact Trivo immediately on +962 7 9920 4035, notify the police, photograph the vehicles and scene, and obtain the official police accident report, commonly called a Kroka. Do not make a private settlement or arrange repairs without Trivo approval.
Yes. An official police report is required after an accident or covered incident even with Platinum Protection. Without the required report, the protection may become invalid and the renter may be responsible for the full loss.
Contact the police and Trivo immediately. Obtain an official police report and return all available keys and documents. Theft Protection applies only when included in the selected package and when all security, reporting and policy requirements are followed.
Use Manage My Booking or contact Trivo by phone, WhatsApp or email. Modifications are subject to availability and may change the rental rate. The cancellation time is calculated from the confirmed pickup date and time.
Cancel at least 36 hours before pickup to receive a full refund of the prepaid rental amount. If you cancel less than 36 hours before pickup, 50% of the prepaid amount is refundable. No refund applies to a no-show or a cancellation made at or after the pickup time. Approved refunds are normally processed within 5–7 business days, while bank processing times may vary.
A booking may be treated as a no-show when the customer does not arrive at the confirmed time, cannot be reached and has not provided an approved change or verified flight information. No-show bookings are non-refundable. A verified flight delay is handled separately when Trivo has the correct flight details and the customer remains in contact.
No. Once the rental has started, unused rental days are not refundable. Contact Trivo before changing the return date because a new return location or service may involve an additional fee.
Contact Trivo as soon as you know you may be late. Rentals are charged in 24-hour periods, and a return more than one hour after the agreed time may be charged as an additional rental day. Unapproved late return may also affect availability for the next customer.
Yes, when arranged and confirmed in advance. Follow the written return instructions and complete the handover with the Trivo representative unless Trivo expressly authorises another process. Do not leave the vehicle or keys unattended without written approval.
Contact Trivo approximately 30 minutes before reaching the airport and follow the return appointment in your voucher. A Trivo representative will coordinate the handover at the confirmed Departures meeting point, inspect the vehicle and receive the keys.
