Excess

Zero

Security deposit

None

Zero Excess does not mean unlimited coverage. Platinum remains subject to the Rental Agreement, prohibited-use rules, police-report requirement, and all listed exclusions. The renter remains responsible for traffic fines and any amount arising from excluded or unlawful use.

What Excess and Security Deposit Mean

Two different amounts, two different purposes

Excess

The excess is the maximum amount the renter may be required to pay for each covered incident, provided the selected protection remains valid and all accident procedures are followed. Separate incidents may result in separate excess amounts.

Security deposit

The security deposit is a temporary hold placed on the renter’s approved payment method. It is not automatically a charge. The release is initiated after the vehicle is returned, inspected, and any known amounts are cleared.

Banks and card providers control when a released hold becomes visible in the customer’s available balance. Trivo is not responsible for additional processing time imposed by the customer’s bank.

Post-rental charges

Traffic fines or other documented charges may become known after the vehicle has been returned. The renter authorises Trivo to collect amounts due under the Rental Agreement from the registered payment method, including traffic fines, parking violations, damage, fuel, cleaning, towing, missing equipment, and applicable administrative charges.

24/7 Roadside Assistance

Included with every package · VIP priority with Platinum

All Trivo protection packages include access to 24/7 roadside support and emergency coordination. Platinum customers receive VIP priority coordination.

Mechanical fault not caused by the renter

If the vehicle develops a mechanical fault that is not caused by misuse, negligence, an accident, or the renter, Trivo will arrange assistance, repair, or a replacement vehicle as soon as reasonably possible. Replacement vehicles remain subject to availability.

Customer-caused roadside events

Roadside support does not automatically make every service, part, or towing cost free. Unless expressly included in the selected package, the renter remains responsible for costs arising from:

  • Lost, damaged, or locked-in keys.
  • Wrong fuel or running out of fuel.
  • A flat or damaged tyre caused by road impact, misuse, or continued driving.
  • A discharged battery caused by lights, accessories, or avoidable customer use.
  • Off-road recovery, sand recovery, floodwater, or prohibited locations.
  • Towing or repairs arranged without Trivo’s approval.

Always contact Trivo before arranging repair, towing, tyre replacement, or roadside service.

Accidents, Damage, and the Police Report

What to do at the scene

A police report is mandatory. Even with Platinum Protection, the renter must report an accident and obtain the official police accident report, commonly called a Kroka. Without the required report, protection may become invalid and the renter may be responsible for the full loss.

In the event of an accident, theft, attempted theft, collision, or vehicle damage:

  1. Stop and remain at the scene. Switch on the hazard lights and call 911 immediately if anyone is injured or the road is unsafe.
  2. Contact Trivo immediately. Call or WhatsApp +962 7 9920 4035 and share your exact location.
  3. Notify the police. Call 911 and explain that the incident involves a rental vehicle.
  4. Do not move or repair the vehicle without instructions. Follow police and Trivo guidance unless moving is necessary for immediate safety.
  5. Document the incident. Take photos and video of all damage, vehicles, number plates, road position, signs, and the surrounding area.
  6. Obtain the official report. Provide Trivo with the Kroka or the official report information as soon as available.
