INSURANCE POLICY – YOUR SAFETY, YOUR CHOICE

At Trivo, your peace of mind on the road is our top priority. We understand that every trip is different, and that's why we offer flexible insurance options tailored to your needs — with full transparency and no hidden costs.

You can choose your preferred protection package during the online booking process, with options ranging from basic legal coverage to zero-excess full protection.

Available Insurance Packages

At Trivo, we offer three levels of insurance coverage — designed to match your needs, budget, and driving plans across Jordan.

Basic Protection (included with every rental)

This package provides third-party liability coverage, as required by Jordanian law. It offers the minimum legal protection but does not include coverage for damage to the rental vehicle itself.

Standard Protection (Optional upgrade)

A more complete insurance package that includes:

  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
  • Theft Protection
  • Personal Accident Insurance

A fixed deductible will apply in case of damage or theft, but your overall financial responsibility is significantly reduced.

Full Protection (Recommended)

For maximum peace of mind, this package includes:

  • Full CDW, Theft, and Personal Accident Insurance
  • Zero Excess - You pay nothing out of pocket for covered incidents
  • Roadside Assistance (flat tires, battery jump-starts, towing, and more)

Whether you're planning a quick city trip or a full Jordanian road adventure, you can select your preferred insurance option during booking — with no surprises at the counter.

What's Not Covered

Even with Full Protection, the following are not covered by any insurance plan:

Damages caused by:

  • Reckless driving or driving under the influence
  • Driving off-road or in unauthorized areas
  • Using the wrong type of fuel
  • Tampering with the engine, transmission, or battery
  • Misuse of the vehicle interior (smoking, sitting/standing on seats, etc.)

Other exclusions:

  • Lost or damaged accessories (keys, GPS devices, documents, or child seats)
  • Fines, fees, and violations (parking tickets, speeding fines, tolls, and tunnel fees)
  • Towing costs due to customer error (e.g., getting stuck in sand, water, or remote areas)

Security Deposit Policy

At Trivo, we believe in keeping things clear, flexible, and fair — especially when it comes to your money. We apply a refundable security deposit based on the insurance coverage you choose at the time of booking.

If You Purchase Insurance (Standard or Full Protection):

  • A refundable deposit of only 100,000 JOD is held to cover possible traffic violations (e.g. parking fines, speeding tickets)
  • No large amount is blocked on your card
  • The deposit is automatically released a few business days after your rental ends, provided no violations are reported

If You Do Not Purchase Insurance:

  • A deposit of $700 USD will be held as security for potential damage, accidents, or violations
  • This amount is refundable at the end of your rental, subject to inspection and clearance

All deposit procedures are in line with Jordanian rental regulations, and are clearly explained before checkout. Our goal is to give you full control and peace of mind throughout your rental journey.
