TERMS & CONDITIONS OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT
OBLIGATIONS OF THE RENTER
1. Agreement Acceptance
- The renter confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted all terms and conditions of this Rental Agreement.
- The renter acknowledges receiving the vehicle, keys, documents, and accessories in good, clean, and roadworthy condition.
2. Driver Requirements
- Minimum driver age is 21 years, with a valid driver's license held for at least one (1) year.
- Drivers of large SUVs and passenger vans must be at least 23 years old.
- The renter and any authorized driver must comply with all traffic laws and regulations of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
3. Responsibility for the Vehicle
The renter is fully responsible for the vehicle from the time it is collected until it is returned, inspected, and accepted by an authorized Trivo representative.
4. Vehicle Return
The vehicle must be returned:
- On the agreed date, time, and location.
- With all original accessories, documents, tools, keys, and equipment.
- In the same condition as received, excluding normal wear and tear.
- With the same fuel or battery level unless a prepaid fuel option was purchased.
- Reasonably clean inside and outside. Excessive dirt, stains, sand, pet hair, or odors may result in cleaning charges.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited. Evidence of smoking will incur a USD 40 cleaning fee.
5. Permitted Use
The renter shall not:
- Drive outside Jordan without the Company's prior written approval.
- Drive off-road, in deserts, beaches, flooded areas, unpaved roads, or on roads officially closed by the Jordanian authorities.
- Drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substances.
- Allow any unauthorized or unregistered driver to operate the vehicle.
- Use the vehicle for racing, towing, paid passenger transport, driver training, or any unlawful purpose.
6. Liability for Damage
The renter remains fully liable for any loss or damage not covered by the purchased insurance, including but not limited to:
- Off-road or water damage.
- Gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
- Incorrect fuel usage.
- Tire, wheel, suspension, windshield, roof, undercarriage, or interior damage unless covered under an optional protection package.
7. Traffic Violations
The renter is responsible for all:
- Traffic fines.
- Parking violations.
- Road tolls.
- Government fees.
- Administrative processing charges related to violations incurred during the rental period.
8. Late Return & Cancellation
- A grace period of one (1) hour applies.
- Returns exceeding the grace period may be charged an additional rental day together with a USD 20 late return administration fee.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours before pickup or failure to collect the vehicle (No Show) are non-refundable.
9. Accidents
In the event of an accident, theft, or damage, the renter must:
- Notify the police immediately.
- Notify Trivo Car Rental immediately.
- Obtain an official police report.
- Not authorize or carry out repairs without prior written approval from Trivo.
10. Payment Authorization
The renter authorizes Trivo Car Rental to charge the payment method provided for:
- Outstanding rental charges.
- Fuel charges.
- Cleaning fees.
- Traffic fines.
- Administrative fees.
- Repair costs.
- Any other contractual charges.
Such charges may be processed for up to 30 days after the vehicle is returned.
OBLIGATIONS OF TRIVO CAR RENTAL
1. Vehicle Condition
The Company guarantees that every rental vehicle is:
- Properly maintained.
- Roadworthy.
- Registered.
- Compliant with Jordanian safety regulations.
If the reserved vehicle becomes unavailable, Trivo may provide a similar or higher-category vehicle at no additional cost, subject to availability.
2. Mechanical Breakdown
If a mechanical fault occurs that is not caused by the renter:
- Trivo will repair or replace the vehicle as soon as reasonably possible.
- Replacement vehicles are subject to availability.
- Trivo shall not be liable for accommodation costs, missed flights, business losses, or other indirect expenses.
- Where the breakdown exceeds 24 hours and no replacement can be provided, Trivo may refund up to one day's rental charge.
3. Customer Information
Trivo will explain:
- The rental agreement.
- Insurance options.
- The renter's responsibilities.
- Jordanian traffic regulations where appropriate.
4. Insurance
The Company maintains all legally required motor liability insurance throughout the rental period.
5. Personal Property
Trivo Car Rental is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings left inside or attached to the vehicle.
INSURANCE & COVERAGE
1. Included Insurance
The rental includes mandatory Third-Party Liability Insurance in accordance with the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
2. Optional Protection Plans
Additional protection packages may be purchased, including:
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
- Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)
- Theft Protection (TP)
- Tire & Windshield Protection
- Roadside Assistance (where applicable)
Coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of the selected protection package.
3. Insurance Exclusions
Insurance coverage is void or excluded in cases involving:
- Driving in prohibited or restricted areas.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Unauthorized drivers.
- Gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
- Wrong fuel usage.
- Damage resulting from misuse.
- Damage to the roof, undercarriage, interior, engine, transmission, or mechanical components caused by negligence or improper use.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. Rental Period
- The minimum rental period is 72 hours (3 days).
- Rentals shorter than 72 hours will be charged as a 72-hour rental.
- Returns exceeding the one-hour grace period may be charged as an additional rental day.
2. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before pickup receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours or No Shows are non-refundable.
- Early returns are not eligible for refunds unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Vehicle Repossession
The Company reserves the right to repossess the vehicle without prior notice if:
- The agreement is breached.
- The vehicle is abandoned.
- The vehicle is used illegally.
- The vehicle is considered at risk.
4. Charges After Rental
Trivo Car Rental may charge the renter's payment method for any outstanding contractual amounts for up to 30 days after the vehicle has been returned.
5. Limitation of Liability
Trivo Car Rental shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including but not limited to missed flights, business interruption, accommodation expenses, or loss of personal income arising from the rental or use of the vehicle.
6. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Jordan.
